The Art of Blending

March 25th, 2008

…Can you feel ‘relative time’ slipping away? There is no such thing, there never was. We are only Here and Now, in this moment, waiting for the next moment. Life is a series of moments, so because it’s Tuesday, or at least we believe it is I want to thank Everyone, I want to thank God, I want to thank Mind, the Creator, whatever you believe.

There is a higher power out there, different Faiths call it different things, it’s inside of You and Me. We are all the same, all connected. I am thankful that you are in my life, I am grateful for today, it is truly the only time we have.  We must constantly remember to be thankful, don’t only remind yourself, but let’s help remind each other.

Be kind to one another, after you reach the highest mountain the only thing left at the top is Compassion. That is why the Great Masters say “Love one another”, “there is only Love”, “God is Love”, or “You are That which you seek”. It’s all the same. We start with the appearance of differences, but in the End we are left with ‘Sameness’.

May you All be Happy, May you All be Free from pain and suffering, diseases and illness. Keep in mind that We are on the same planet, we’re all floating down river together and all rivers empty out into the sea. We will get there together to the “abyss of Oneness”. Thank You for being in my life, I am proud to have known you all, you are all characters in the Movie of My life, and I am a character in yours. We manifest each other, we animate each other, and its because of this that we are useful in each other’s lives.

Its no longer Tuesday…I think…but wanted to return the thanks and appreciation. Without You there is no Me. Blessings to all.

“La ilah ilah alla” the shahada core of Islamic belief

Bawa Muhayudin, a recent sufi mystic, interprets it like this: the car is going down the road, but the road is inside the car…

Thankfulness is a beautiful road… may we all drive safely, happily and freely,

today I had 4 major moments I can be thankful for. Well now that I’m thinking about it - there might have been infinite such moments … And even within each moment and the one that followed there appears to have been many more

I woke up to find a prayer of gratitude being read by my lips, I kept one eye closed till they were done. Then watched a friend make a complicated moral decision on the couch in my living room. Cleaned up the apartment and got some unexpected help. Cooked breakfast and at it with a child hood buddy who shared with me a decision that will better his life, as he followed his dream to make music. Got a Skype call from Buddhas in Pai - got reassured that what we are experiencing around us, all of us, all the time is something neither words nor thoughts could comprehend. And the pen will simply lie where the breath would happily die. And in the end we find the beginning a good time to end. Perhaps between the beginning and the end everything artist- fully made an abode for Itself.
